FAQs - wax melts

Wax melts are small pieces of scented wax that you melt in a wax warmer (also called a wax melt warmer or fragrance warmer) using a low-heat bulb or heating plate. There's no flame involved, so you get continuous fragrance without burning anything. They're a great alternative to candles for spaces where an open flame isn't ideal.

Place one or two pieces of wax melt into the dish of your wax warmer and turn it on. The warmer gently heats the wax, releasing the scent into the room. When the scent fades, let the wax cool, remove it, and replace with a fresh piece.

Our wax melts are compatible with standard electric and tea light wax warmers. Just make sure your warmer has a dish or plate large enough to hold the melts. Electric warmers tend to give more consistent heat and are generally safer since there's no open flame involved.

Start with one or two pieces depending on room size. Smaller rooms like a bathroom or bedroom may only need one. For larger living spaces, two pieces will give you a stronger scent throw. You can always add more if you want the scent to carry further.

Our wax melts use phthalate-free fragrance, which removes one common concern. That said, cats are particularly sensitive to concentrated fragrances and essential oils, so if you have a cat, keep warmers out of their reach and make sure your space is well ventilated. When in doubt, consult your vet.
